Adrian Hernandez is the principal investigator for the ACTIV-6 study and Vice Dean and Executive Director of the Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, N.C. Dr. Hernandez oversees the DCRI to ensure continuance of a broad spectrum of clinical research programs, clinical trials, clinical and pre-clinical education, and shared data and repositories.

Susanna Naggie, MD

Dr. Susanna Naggie is co-principal investigator for the ACTIV-6 study. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine with Tenure and currently holds joint appointments at the Duke Clinical Research Institute and at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She is also involved in multiple clinical trials and clinical registries with a particular focus on HIV and liver disease.

Christopher Lindsell, PhD

Christopher Lindsell is Director of the Data Science and Biostatistics team at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) and professor of biostatistics and bioinformatics at the Duke University School of Medicine. He previously served as professor of biostatistics at Vanderbilt University. He is a collaborative biostatistician who is a leader in the application of rigorous biostatistical methods in the acute care environment, and an expert on the intersection between emergency care and public health. He has led data coordinating centers for numerous multi-center clinical trials.

Dr. Michael Felker is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center and the head of Cardiovascular Research at the DCRI. He served as Chief of the Heart Failure Section at Duke University School of Medicine from 2013 to 2020.
